Report: Prius hybrids dogged by software woes - May. 16, 2005

As one of the few remaining users of American cars, i liked reading this article. I own a saturn ion and a very happy user of it. I drive close to 2000 miles a month on it and it gives me 35 mpg on the highway, has excellent torque and never a glitch and I leased it for 135 USD per month after all the discounts in august 2004.

Perception lags reality in the auto industry and I am so happy that I am not a vicitim of these perceptions that GM cars are not as good as Toyota's. I am sure i will be a happy Saturn owner even at 100,000 miles and paid a lot less for what I own.

Wake-up GM bashers...learn to look through the cloud of biases.. you can get some good deals.

Volkswagen teams with Google on navigation system - Yahoo! News

The all pervasive google is now going to be in cars as well if this latest venture does become a success.

Although a google fan and one of its earliest users i cannot help wondering if I am dependent on google than i was ever before in my life. Good for now.. but I really don't like what I see when I look at computers with MS on them.

Is google going the same route? Or will its do no evil motto stay?
